The Bank of Lithuania approves the aviation fund to be established by Rontgen Asset Management
The Bank of Lithuania has approved the incorporation documents of Rontgen Asset Management (UAB "Ketvirta diena") Limited Partnership Rontgen Aviation Fund. This fund will invest in the global, fast-growing aviation market.
"The objective of the fund is to acquire aviation assets such as aircraft engines, landing gear or other aircraft components, refurbish them and sell them to aviation companies. The cycle of one investment of this type is more profitable and shorter compared to, for example, real estate development, and the investment market is global, not tied to one region or even one continent," says Simonas Baciulis, head of Rontgen Asset Management (UAB "Ketvirta diena").
He said that the aviation sector is attractive today because of the rapid growth of the market - strong demand for travel, aircraft and parts, and international regulation.
"There is currently a worldwide shortage of both aircraft and components. This is primarily because post-pandemic travel has recovered faster than aircraft production, resulting in a global fleet that is now at record age and older planes being used more than before the pandemic. While manufacturers are not able to meet market demand, the Fund sees an opportunity to invest in the global aviation market and earn a solid return," said Baciulis.
